A Bachelor’s Degree is not necessary for someone who wants to be a Welder. A high school diploma will usually be enough. However, they need to undergo formal training to learn how to weld. |

Most technical and vocational schools provide programs on welding. There are certain industries or jobs that require certified Welders. The American Welding Society provides certification examinations to accredited schools. |
However, there are some employers who are willing to hire inexperienced Welders or those who have taken any formal training. Although these people can be employed and taught on the job, the salary can be a lot lower than the average. As long as you have a steady hand, welding tasks can be learned easily. |
